Spray Nozzles & Jets

They are called many things, Jets, Spray Tips, Spray Nozzles, but they all do the same thing for carpet cleaners. Whether your wand or hand tool has a TeeJet, VeeJet, or FloodJet, all three control the amount of solution and angle of spray on carpet cleaning wands and hand tools. Most carpet wands, stair tools, hand tools and upholstery detailers come with spray jets installed from the manufacturer of the tool. When ordering a new tool, take note of the engraved information on the face of the jets as these letters and numbers tell us everything we need to know about thread size (V-Jets only), flow rate, and spray angle.

This chart's GPM figures are theoretical because this chart assumes that the pressure is unregulated. Most truck mount carpet cleaning machines have pressure regulators to allow the operator to lower the pressure to around 400 to 600psi. Since a pressure regulator bypasses water to control pressure, you will lose some of the water pump's total flow capacity to the regulator. Although this may seem overly technical to some, it is important to know how much water is actually getting to the wand or hand tool.
